OT: Information from anyone with foot injury29 Sep 2004 17:06 GMT1
I am an asthmatic who had a foot injury a month ago and had to have
surgery on my heel. More on this later. Interestingly, I have had no
asthma and in complete control when before when under stress had
asthma, tight chest. No using of my albuterol inhaler when stressed or
good inhaler counter?28 Sep 2004 18:00 GMT1
This group's FAQ mentions the Doser for counting the number of uses of a
metered dose inhaler. A Google search brings up lots of other options.
Any ideas on good inhaler counters?
Albuterol revisited26 Sep 2004 14:21 GMT7
Just read the thread started on 9/10 concerning Albuterol.
To put it as short as i can, the very first time I used albuterol I
experienced near instantaneous miraculous relief that lasted many hours.
Possibly because i had been pretty much suffocating in place for days the
KID W/ASTHMA25 Sep 2004 13:58 GMT15
My name is Bob and I'm a 44 yo widower. I've recently found someone my
age who is compatible but she is totally computer illiterate and I'm
checking for her. She has a son who will be 6yo soon; he has serious enough
attacks that he was in the hospital last weekend.
chronic yawning24 Sep 2004 02:12 GMT6
Greetings.  I'm 53, male.  I'm wondering if inability to
achieve a satisfying yawn (if that makes sense) could

yawning every 10 or 15 minutes---haven't actually
Steroids20 Sep 2004 18:13 GMT11
I was diagnosed with asthma and glaucoma 7 years ago. It seems that
the steroids (inhaled and oral - prednisone) are making the glaucoma
worse (increasing the IOP). I am currently taking Symbicort, Bricanyl,
and Singulair, and occasionally prednisone. For the past month, my
Mice and asthma19 Sep 2004 22:14 GMT1
Has anyone had experience of pet mice aggravating their asthma?
We used to have a long-haired cat, and it didn't bother me at all.  He died
and a few months later the kids convinced me that mice were a good thing to
have.  We bought three of them a couple of weeks ago.  Initially I ...

15 years. Now have a nebulizer with albuterol as well.
I have read a few posts on here that say Albuterol (ventolin) is bad.

Antibiotics helping!!!18 Sep 2004 03:07 GMT31
I know a few people from Asthmastory.com post here, so I wanted to
update.  I was on the antibiotics for abotu 3 weeks. Started to feel
better.  I went on vacation and forgot to pack them! I, of course, got
worse.  WhenI came home (2 weeks) I started again. I am now on week 4

Dairy & Asmtha- is there a connection?14 Sep 2004 20:23 GMT8
Does anyone have a problem with dairy products creating mucous in the
lungs, and stirring up the Asthma?
I think it may be an allergic reaction.
Any input on this?

Genetic link to asthma 10 Sep 2004 15:29 GMT5
As Maureen points out - there will probably be several
"causes" of asthma identified. Infections will surely will
be amonst them as will genetics and I'm sure environmental
factors will also have a role. Watch out for anyone claiming
