Does Advair's effectiveness eventually decrease?18 Apr 2004 04:46 GMT1
Or can a tooth infection let loose the beast?  ### Hello, I used to post
here quite a lot under a different name (which I won't mention now) when
my asthma was quite out of control most of the time.  When I started
Singulair at night, that marked a big improvement.  Then about two ...

Asthmatic wife, meds not helping, need advice.16 Apr 2004 07:33 GMT27
I'm new to the group and hoping I could get some help.
My wife had been able to live with her asthma simply by using her albuterol
inhaler as necessary.  However, a few months ago her condition worsened.  In
November 2003 my wife's MD diagnosed moderate, persistent asthma and ...
Advair expiration date16 Apr 2004 00:55 GMT4
I've been using Advair (250/50) for some time  but I only use it once
a day, in the morning, because I was concerned that the salmeterol
might give me insomnia.  The instructions say to discard the discus
one month after removing it from the foil wrap, but since I only use

Any Downside to Ultrasonic Nebulizers?15 Apr 2004 23:27 GMT7
I use a  DeVilbiss PulmoMate nebulizer for COPD, not asthma, but this
is the only newsgroup that discusses nebulizers.   My PulmoMate
nebulizer is rather large, heavy, loud, slow and must be plugged in.
I've now seen ultrasonic nebulizers advertised that are very small,
Using Popular Music in Therapy13 Apr 2004 02:39 GMT2
My name is Matt and I'm a clinical therapist.  I've been doing some really
exciting things in therapy.  I work mainly with children and adolescents.  I
discovered long ago that children can't just sit down and talk about their
feelings.  I love music, and have been using that as a ...

My son has had severe breathing problems. He's 24. It comes and goes. He's
very busy going to school. I am considering an air filter for his room. Any

Guaranteed Cure For Asthama10 Apr 2004 18:40 GMT3
I want to inform that there is guaranteed cure for Asthama in Indian
Herbal Medicine i.e. Ayurvede.  Ayurved is an ancient method of
treating diseases.    If there is no cure for this disease in
allopathy, it does not mean there is no cure elsewhere in the world.
Son has mild asthma - you'd think it was the black plague.07 Apr 2004 01:38 GMT1
I can't get him covered by any insurance company I've dealth with so far,
you'd think he was dying of cancer.  He's 6 years old and I want to make
sure that I can afford to keep him on the preventitive medicine that we've
been using with great success.

Beclazone and bruising03 Apr 2004 19:53 GMT8
I use Beclazone 100 inhaler (beclometasone / becotide) on a regular basis as
an asthma preventer - and it has proven very effective.
However, I bruise very easily and a pharmacist friend tells me that this is
a side effect of taking a cortico-steroid.
