Yesterday was a lousy day - was able to eat and drink a bit to keep the
fluids going, but didn't feel up to much of anything thanks to the UTI that
didn't respond to previous antibiotic.  Thank goodness for Mom - she cooked
up some soup and I had a toast and peanut butter ...

Okay - let me tell you my secret to holidays.  Prednisone!
Last week I was in tears, sleeping most of the day because the pain and
fatique was too much, cooking easy stuff.  The rd suggested the only thing
we could do to relieve the inflammation was increase the prednisone until

How are you doing?  Any better?   Did you have your joint counts and

online much lately but I have been in so much pain in my back and right hip.
My THR is sch for Jan 20.  I must take a series of shots to build up my
blood before I can have surgery.  the shots are call ...

I got a Christmas card today from Mo and she said to say hello to the
newsgroup for her. She is still on all her meds and still writing and
tutoring creative writing groups. She didn't say much else because it was an
airmail card and space was at a premium for her.

I don't want to go into the details on a public forum, but someone I know
recently made a comment about a mutual friend that showed a real lack of
comprehension about the fatigue of chronic illness.  There was a comment
along the lines of knowing some people with terminal cancer ...

Mary recently went shopping alone for a few items we forgot to
purchase at the commissary.

We bought a new (to us) car to replace the 2002 Saturn station
wagon with 130,00 miles that was totaled!
It's a 2006 Suzuki 4-door with 40,000 miles, $8,000 from Budget,
marked down from $14,000.  They are anxious to clear their lot
