The neurologist's office called today and the nurse read me the letter
the doc is sending me re the MRI and nerve conduction studies. No
signs of stroke or MS. Big sigh of relief here! There are "age-related
changes in the brain," which i assume refers to that big empty space

Patty's birthday is the 31st.  It would be great if we could show her
that we are all still here for her and that we love.  If you have a
few extra minutes, an e-card would be wonderful.  I will also send
flowers from all of us.

So California is hot today.. it says we are supposed to be at 103 today
but considering it's 10:43 am and it's already 88 outside.. my guess is

The nephrologist I was seeing left the practice a year ago and moved out
of state.  I then saw a RNP whom I got to appreciate and love for her
caring and thoughtfulness.  Well at today's appt. I find the entire
practice is closing due to retirement of the three senior partners and

I went to see a new pain management doc yesterday and I'm very pleased
with him. It's hard to find a doctor who appreciates someone being well
informed about things. Most want you "dummied" in order to give you bs.
As for the the plan of action, he helped me to decide to leave ...

OK, had two doctors appointment today.  
First one was with the orthopedic guy early this afternoon.  
First thing they did was to remove the cast!  Oh boy did that ever feel
good!!!  Felt even better to be able to wash my hands really thoroughly!

Had another xray on my leg and progress extremely slow- still in
wheelchair at least 7 more weeks until nextxray...darn Kate

As a long-time lurker shy about making my presence known (I'm not all that
computer-literate!), I'm finally breaking my silence to make a comment. And
