Saw my new orthopedics doctor yesterday.  She x-rayed my hip, right
shoulder, and knees, since those were the worst areas.  She gave me a shot

The main point I wanted to make was:
Since most of the arthritis in my knees are behind the knee caps, and they
re-use the knee cap in a replacement, a knee replacement probably wouldn't
help me.  I was wondering if anybody else had been told that?

             1.) Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk,

I have OA in shoulders, base of thumbs, hips and knees. Hip pain is the
worst.

I'm not sure as to whether one should take pain medication on a regular
schedule, or as needed.  I know if it is done on as needed, the pain has a
chance to get too bad before the medication kicks in.  Any ideas?  My pain
