My chest hurts...it has for two days. But the pain is not low it's high up and is also in my back. I spent most of today in the ER where they did an x-ray, a sonogram, and a CT scan with contrast. They also did blood tests. Nada, nothing, butkiss. Sigh. It hurts when I take a ...

How are all doing ? I have not asked my surgeon, but what are my chance of getting the epidural instead of the general anesthesia, I had bad experiences in the past, nurses unable to wake me up fast enough, and maybe just plain fear.

i feel as though i have been holding my breath for months (and no, gary. i haven't turned into smuffette, yet.<smile>), though i know it hasn't been as long as it feels like it's been. as most of you already know, my 84 year-old mom passed away on april 14th.

Has anyone experienced painful pertruding nodules on joints? I have one on my elbow and one on the back of my heel. They come after a flare up and don't go away. Must be removed surgically. Does anyone have any tips on how to cope with excrutiating pain?
