surgery update28 Feb 2007 21:50 GMT2
Well I went back to the surgeon today and he cleaned out the incision which
BTW is still draining. The healing is slow because of diabetes, but I cant
figure why the drainage.  It has been 8 weeks now.  He doesn't seem to have
an answer. he put me back on that awful levaquin.  Has ...

Dear Folks,
First an update:  My middle son has entered an apprenticeship to
become a plumber!  He's thrilled and I'm happy to have him working.
While this is not my first choice for my son, I am happy to see him

Her Mum replies "No, because she is on heat."
Question about exrecise and RA28 Feb 2007 11:30 GMT3
Is it bad to force stiff joints into a position, even if after being forced
you then find it slightly easier to get into said position naturally?
I know it sound strange but at the mo am having problems with my toes. I
can't straighten them naturally, they seem to curl up. This is ...
swollen finger, not arthritis27 Feb 2007 22:46 GMT2
I'm a 63 yr old with a recently repaired saggital band tendon. 2
fingers have been in a cast for about 5 weeks. I removed the cast
recently and found the uninjured index finger swollen and in seemingly
worse shape than the repaired one. After 3 days out of the cast, it's
New update on DianeW27 Feb 2007 13:58 GMT6
I talked with Diane's husband, Wayne, last night. He said Diane went into
the hospital 6 weeks ago. She had the surgery on her leg, then went into ICU
4 weeks ago. Something happened in her stomach, they opened her up and it
was the colon problem. They cleaned all that out and ...
Checking In27 Feb 2007 13:23 GMT4
Had a couple of inquiries lately, and want to let you all know everything is
fine here.  Life has been hectic and somewhat overwhelming (but mostly in a
good way), and I don't spend much time at the puter.  You have all been in
my prayers through the last year, even though I ...

Going a little crazy -- out for repairs26 Feb 2007 16:58 GMT15
Hi, folks,
Sorry for being kinda absent, but this hip replacement hoop-dee-doo has
been slowly evolving into not much fun, not to mention getting a totally
unnecessary cancer scare from this hot-shot surgeon, who doesn't seem
Another story of a fall26 Feb 2007 15:58 GMT10
Had ice and snow last night and today. Took the little dog out for a potty
stop. Hit a patch of ice on the steps and legs flew up. The rest of me went
down. Landed full weight on the edge of the bottom step with the small of my
back (meaty part on left side.) Screamed out in pain ...

Surgery tomorrow (Friday)26 Feb 2007 04:19 GMT13
I am having an ulnar nerve transposition tomorrow afternoon.  I know
I'll be fine and that this is just another "bump in the road".  BUT
being put to sleep is really scary for me.  I've had three surgeries
in the past 7 years but this is still difficult for me.  Please
Enjoy the Oscars.26 Feb 2007 03:49 GMT2
I suffer from arthritis too, that's why I do all my shopping on-line.
Forget about that now though, just enjoy the Oscars, it's wonderful
entertainment, isn't it?
