ASA Family, Please pray for Patty!!!18 Dec 2006 17:58 GMT15
Hi ASA Family,
Just got a very sad email from our Patty this evening.   Her husband,
Jeff, was found dead yesterday.   Most likely his body gave out from the
effects of his diabetes.

here is a link to Jeff's obit.  He was a true hero.  I am wondering if
we should try to do a combined ASA contribution or just do individual
ones?

Santa came to my house early!18 Dec 2006 14:25 GMT34
Hi everyone - great news.  There is a Santa Claus and she works for Bristol
Myers Squibbs.  They are the company that makes Orencia or Abatacept.  They
are sending my med to my pharmacy, booking my infusion and best of all for
the time being while approval is going through the ...

Well it seems an update is probably due but I was desperately trying not to
do it. If Diane is out there - hi Di.  I think I owe you a phone call but
not sure where to send it to. hope you are still due to be sprung by
Christmas - praying for that.
letter to ASA17 Dec 2006 18:14 GMT13
I was sitting in a theatre today watching a stunning film, Guadalupe,
and reflecting on humankind, bereavement, connection and this very
strange thread now running on ASA. I first want to thank all of you who
have posted in my behalf-it make me just slightly uncomfortable but is

Rosie and others, my relief from the injections in the joint of my lower
back was short-lived.  I had hoped it would help, but I don't see any signs
of an improvement.  Is it logical to deduct, then, that the pain is coming
from the muscles (Fibro) rather than the joint?  I hurt ...

We are still without power. two very cold nights so far and no telling when

Displaced Anger: Attn Harv17 Dec 2006 15:27 GMT8
Recently one of my sisters was very hurt by something the other said
and ended up saying something very innapropriate to her. In my heart I
believe that it was not so much what was said, that was the problem as
the fact that she was angry that her son was not here and Christmas is

I made it.  Came home today. Three night in hospital, rehab.  Virtually
pain free, except for the incision.  The rehab is coming to my home
three days a week starting Monday.  So far so good.  I didn't realize
just how involved the whole process is.

Please, please don't leave our group.  You have just as much right to be
here as anyone else has and I am so sorry that you were attacked so
viciously while simply trying to find some relief from your pain.
Know that the rest of us welcome you and are more than willing to help

I just heard the weather for your area, and it's terrible, more rain and wind.
It must be affecting Carole and others in Washington state as well. I'm not
going to complain about the rain we are having here now, It's nothing compared
to what you folks in the 'northwest' are getting.
