My sister just called after picking up her grand-daughter (Abby) who
will be spending the next few days with her. Abby has just had a
pediatrician's visit and they suspect JRA. She is 8 now. Her Dad (my
nephew) was killed in the car accident in 2001. I guess her Mom and

In the word arthritis the suffix 'itis' means inflamed and 'arthro'

Went back to my Primary today for the fatique I have been experiencing for
the last month.  He put me on provigil.  Has anyone else been on this?
All my swelling is just about gone in my ankles, feet, hands and wrists.

After 10 months of pain and agony, my son was finally diagnosed with
Psoriatic Arthritis.  He is to the point that he can barely walk, then only
with a cane.  He has been living with this for so long, but then you all
know what that is all about.  I am so mad at all the doctors ...

I'm scheduled for thumb CMC excision surgery in a couple of weeks. I've
been getting cortisone shots in my thumb joints for about 4 years, and
now I know I need to have a more permanent solution to the

The latest update from Arlene's husband just came in: "Arlene is out of
Intensive Care. She is on the medical floor. Off the respirator and
breathing normally. She still requires oxygen and more iv's than I want to
think about. The meds are making her a little spacey with spurts ...

I'm sero-negative RA for many years. Taken off plaquenil a few months
ago by gastro doc when I was hospitalized with inflamed liver.  That
seems to be resolved now.  Joints are now hurting more than they ever
did and I'm stiff all day and not moving around very well.  RD doesn't

    Hi, I lurk on here alot and post only occasionally.  In the last few
years I've had trouble with my voice.  When I went to an ENT, she did a few
tests and found that my vocal chords are all "floppy".  Instead of being taut
like guitar strings, the ligaments holding my chords ...

Hello--in the past 6 months, both of my thumbs snap loudly when I
flex/bend them.

I had my first Humira shot 2 weeks ago.  Supposed to take my next one
tomorrow but am going to skip it until I can see my doc on Wednesday.  He is
out of the office today but his nurse is going to call him and let him know
what is happening in case this needs immediate attention.
