Total Knee Revision23 May 2006 14:25 GMT41
I finally have a date for surgery; Thursday, April 27th.  The doctor is
still not sure if I will need a partial or a full revision.  Either
way, I have a full six weeks pf physical therapy to look forward to.  I
was wondering if it is beneficial to go to a rehab hospital after the
Ping Andrea aka Support (TKR)23 May 2006 01:52 GMT5
I didn't have to look long before I found the journal I had written after my
TKR in 2000.  I left out all the background history and am typing just the
journal of recuperation by itself.  There will be places where I skip days
because of lack of any reportable change in my ...

Having seen an orthopaedic surgeon for my osteoarthritis, and following
an x-ray, he has said that I should consider having both my knees
replaced. I wish to make an informed decision as to whether to ask for
the replacements to be done at the same time or some months apart.  I
Introduction22 May 2006 13:05 GMT7
I've recently started reading newsgroups again and thought I'd better
introduce myself. I'm Dave, I suffer from OA in my knees, wrists and
hands. My wrists and hands are so bad that I'm currently signed-off and
receiving IB (Invalidity Benefit to those not in the UK). I also get
enbrel, etc.22 May 2006 11:55 GMT2
Hello to ya'all,
When I read your posts, I get so much good information.
I injected, for myself, my first enbrel on Weds.  Today, I am not feeling my
usual active self - this I don't understand, but then, I have occassional
Natural cures and home herbal remedies21 May 2006 01:24 GMT1
It is silly to rule out drugs altogether, but it is sillier to not even
try alternative medicines. Many drugs are based on natural extracts
from plants, and many have bad side affects worse then the condition
itself or because they are synthesised may not work as well as the real

Houston Arthritis Walk20 May 2006 07:16 GMT3
The 2006 5K Houston Arthritis Walk was this morning and a lot of fun.  Last
year only $30,000 was raised.  This year over $100,000 was raised!  And I'm
responsible for a little over $800 of that.  :-)
It was a perfect morning for a walk -- breezy, not too hot and not too
Knee Replacement Therapy Support20 May 2006 01:59 GMT6

specifically for this topic as I'm trying to focus in on joint
Enbrel problems20 May 2006 00:51 GMT8
I have been on a combination of Enbrel and Methotrexate for about a year
now. My rheumatologist monitors me closely with a full blood workup once a
month.  Over the last few months I have gotten more and more colds and
minor infections.  Two weeks ago I came down with cellulitis ...
