I am nearly 60 and have OA in my hips..Been a steadly increasing prob. over
the last 3 years (or more) ...recently pain n stiffness become so bad that I
can't go out as I can't walk well enough.
I am using ONLY Co-codamol (mostly 500 + 8 as straight from the chemist) in

I just got this diagnosis yesterday from my Rhuemy.  Positive HLA B27
and symptoms of chest pain when breathing, lots of soreness and
stiffness in joints, possible IBD.  I'm a 47 year old female, so I'm a
little surprised at this diagnosis.  I thought for sure I had Lupus.

Thanks so much for responding.
I started by taking 3 MTX @ 2.5 mgs per week.  Then the new rheumy told
me that the dose I was on was for grannies or small children.

I am 60 and have OA in my hips...usuall story of steady getting worse over
last few years..
I used to walk a lot ...to and from work every day etc...as the OA has
become worse I have cut the walking and other wear-on-the-legs activity down

I have neck pain due to computer work. X-ray photo's shows wears on
joint between 5th/6th vertebrate. I would like to know if anybody has
undergone surgery to correct this and the success rate.

How big was the earthquake. The ones we had in Orinda were around the 2 and
3 area that is why I classify them more of a tremor than anything else.
I didn't hear about the earthquake up your way.

My Dr used the Orencia help center to see where I stood so far as using
it with coverage by Unit.ed Health Care. The Orencia Center was unable
to decifer my coverage, but it looks like it will be considered under
my major medical- not prescription- coverage. Which means satisfying ...

62-year-old geezer again, 11 days post-surgery
MD appt. today.  He said that 20% of lateral right meniscus was
removed and amt. of swelling today was minimal and far below average.
He added the warning to not even think about crouching or running for
