Happy Christmas to all at u.p.s.a22 Dec 2005 15:50 GMT4
This newsgroup seems to be somewhat under-used these days.  But in the hope
that maybe people browse rather than post, I would like to wish everyone on
the NG a Very Happy Christmas and a Peaceful and Healthy New Year.
And God bless us all,  said Tiny Tim.

Hi all, I just read a medical column in my local sunday paper referring to
sulindac as causing increased joint damage over time - has anyone heard of
this? I took clinoril for years and it was during this time, when I thought
I was in remission (with plaquenil) that I developed ...

My father uses a "companion chair" (a wheel chair with four small
wheels) in the house. We have the microwave on a small counter near the
sink. When the directions on the meals say "pull back cover, stir and
continue heating", he had no place to put the meal while he stirred (the ...
Ping:  Mike's Brain20 Dec 2005 18:32 GMT7
Mike, you'd better frame this, because I'm writing as a form of apology ;-)
After thinking about it more, I realized my reactions were based more on
emotions than in logical and mutual discourse the last few days.  And, those
emotions which sprang to the forefront of my mind, ...
Update and news20 Dec 2005 18:13 GMT1
Just wondering if people read in the news recently about new work with
cartilage for the treatment of osteoarthritis?  It often seems to me that
people with OA don't get much in the way of potential good news, so this
sounds interesting (even though a way off).

Today I had my first appt with the new RD. He is a super Doc,  answered
all of our questions in detail in language and terms that non Docs can
understand. He felt that I had not gotten the right direction as far as
Pain meds were concerned. He is a believer in the approach that ...
back pain/depression20 Dec 2005 16:01 GMT16
I'm feeling especially sad about my back problem.  The pain's been real bad

upper/cervical originally).  I'll talk w/my doc about it, but for a couple
weeks now i've been waking up in bed unable to roll over w/out ...
