I haven't been on the newsgroup for quite awhile, but i'm back! I was
diagnosed with RA several years ago, but was just diagnosed with
Ankylosing Spondylitis. My symptoms, the x-rays, and the the test for
the gene all turned out pointing to this. I don't know real much about

I'm just starting to research what this is. No rheumatoid factor in
blood tests, negative for the antigens that mark most cases of
ankylosing spondylitis. Even my hips are hurting, and I don't have hips
anymore (it's attacking the ligaments everywhere). Anyone know what the

My RD said the other day when I saw him that they finally have approved
this drug, but that they don't expect it to be available until summer
time as they have to build the factory and get going on the
manufacturing of this new med.

He was working on his christmas cards.
He said he was taken off Remicade and put on Enbrel. So that is the latest
with him on the meds.
