Abatacept Infusion Number One31 Jul 2005 12:55 GMT12
My first infusion went off without a hitch! I have wonderful nurses who

one stick!!! Very simple half hour IV with absolutely no side effects
(yet anyways). Felt the same going in as the normal saline did. Easy ...

OTP: Got the computer (was Closing is Thursday)31 Jul 2005 02:36 GMT14
Well, we FINALLY got to the settlement table.  The only nasty surprise
was from our own "agent" who had said one thing and done another and it
cost us $9,100.00! Rather than start everything all over again, we bit
the bullet, closed and closed our connection with that man. ...

Question on Disability Act31 Jul 2005 02:08 GMT12
I know very little about law and don't understand its jargon, I admit
it.  My company is terminating my employment next month  since they will
not approve any more medical leave. Once they terminate me, I lose all
my medical benefits, etc.  A neighbor told me this is not legal ...
** The Reason WHY You Have Arthritis31 Jul 2005 01:53 GMT2
Behold! The Blatantly Direct Reason WHY You Have Arthritis!
It disturbs me, yet I am no longer surprised by, posts that are
dispensing advice (some with good intention, mind you) that are
completely opposite the truth.
Study Will Test Stem Cell Therapy on Human Hearts30 Jul 2005 21:38 GMT1
From the AP.  Carol I was thinking about you when I read this.
A clinical trial to test the safety of treating heart attack damage
with stem cells is about to get underway, after a study showed that
the therapy helped in pigs.

She'll be staying in the hospital's rehab unit for a few days after
the surgery.
thyroid and mtx30 Jul 2005 21:25 GMT2
Does anyone know if being on methotrexate can cause your thyroid to become
low?  My tests came back  low and it might be the answer for the weight gain
now, also wondering if mtx, since it works on suppressing the immune system
can cause problems with the thyroid gland?
Enbrel = Weight Gain???30 Jul 2005 21:16 GMT22
Anyone know anything --- have any experience --- re how much tonnage Enbrel
adds?
I understand it adds some weight, but have no idea whether this is a little,
a lot --- a minor issue, a major factor?

Either I'm coming down with something or my OA has decided to play silly
buggers today.  It has been slowly progressing for years but today - yikes!
My knees and knuckles are complaining loudly but, unusual for me, so are my
ankles, palms and oddly enough my neck.  I'm hoping I just ...
