I Give Up (Rant)22 Mar 2005 02:50 GMT24
Well, they just called from disability and they said that I no longer
qualify for payments. They said if I'm well enough to go to rehab, then
I'm well enough to go back to work. I told her that I could only do ten
minutes on the treadmill at rehab and then I was exhausted, but ...
checking in22 Mar 2005 01:45 GMT10
Hi family.  Sorry to be out of the loop so long, but I am not doing
very well.  My shoulders and upper back, and my arms down to my finger
tips, is knocking me for a loop.  On a scale of 1-10 we are at at least
a 7.5 constantly.

No biggie

Hi Gwen,
Southwest has released fares from Tampa to Birmingham for $39. I have not
checked any dates or anything. Just a heads-up.

The end of an era.21 Mar 2005 20:36 GMT20
In 1968 Charlie and I bought a small black puff of fur we named Wilhelmina
that grew into the most spoiled toy poodle in the world.  She lived until
1983.  I was bereft when she died as we had been extremely close for fifteen
years.  If I was sitting down or sleeping she was ...
Medco Health question21 Mar 2005 17:56 GMT12
OK, so they're cornering us into using mail order through Medco Health for
most of our prescriptions by cutting our co-pays if we do it.  I figure I'll
go that way for most, but keep my prn meds local. (they're generic and a
month's worth lasts 7-8 weeeks anyway, so the copay ...
A Whine and A Question21 Mar 2005 15:47 GMT15
Had an appointment with my RD today and decided to tell him exactly how I
had been feeling and hurting---my hands, feet, and particularly my back.  He
took 5 xrays of my back, 2 of my feet, and did a dexa scan.  He said my bone
density really looked very well (I assume for my age).  ...
Overdue Update21 Mar 2005 15:47 GMT26
Isn't it grand when a doctor finally listens to you?  I've been quite ill
with upper respiratory stuff for the past month. In fact, in retrospect,
I've been on 5 different antibiotics since Nov for sinus infections,
bronchitis, the abscess tooth problem and a sore in the nasal ...
Jan2-"outsiders" can NOT understand RA ever21 Mar 2005 15:46 GMT32
Hello. I'll put Jan2 in all my subject lines because there is another Jan
here.
Words haven't worked for me in explaining to non RA folks how limiting and
painful my RA (since childhood) is.
Nabumetone (Relafen) Any Good?21 Mar 2005 07:40 GMT5
I seen an RD Friday for the problems I've been having with my knees.
He set me up with some physical therapy sessions and prescribed two
750mg tablets per day of nabumetone which he says is easier on the
stomach than some other NSAIDS and are long lasting.  They are

Muscle locked up21 Mar 2005 03:26 GMT8
Hi, me again.  Mom had her laminectomy a few weeks ago, and it seemed
pretty successful at the time.  Now that we're cutting down on the
long-time pain meds, she's had a pain in her leg, and has been
diagnosed with a knee joint worn to the bone, and with a thigh muscle
Ping:   Duckie21 Mar 2005 03:22 GMT8
Hey Duckie, I know you have been a busy little beaver trying to sort
through things in order to get ready to move, but am wondering how that
new knee is doing especially with your dancing?   You are still dancing
aren't you?   How does that knee feel when you are dancing???
