Leg locking in TKR15 Dec 2004 03:00 GMT6
My mother had TKRs on both knees 2+ years ago (she's now 71), with no
problems till now. One leg "locks" when she's walking, in the straight
position. She's been back to the surgeon twice, who x-rayed and found
nothing structurally wrong. On the 2nd visit, he gave her some

I got a letter this morning, entitled "patient choice".  Told me I could
have my knee replacement a bit earlier if I would go to another hospital.
Thinking "oh, perhaps a private hospital, own room etc" I phoned up the PCT.
No such luck - they offered me Weston Super Mare :((
