OTP Lots of prayers and good thoughts please!!!15 Oct 2004 03:31 GMT25
My almost 16 year old neice, Lauren, went to ER last night after losing sight
in one eye. They did many tests and finally diagnosed it as a migraine (which
is what I predicted it was before they left). Sent her home after the sight
returned. Her doctor called today saying there was ...
Update for Donna G and anyone else (LONG)15 Oct 2004 03:31 GMT14
I suppose this is overdue, so thanks for asking, Donna. :-) Things have
been interesting. When Norm got laid off in April and switched jobs I had Rx

New exercise program15 Oct 2004 03:09 GMT1
New exercise routine if you're over 50, or for any day you feel like you
are over 50.  You might want to take it easy at  first, then do it faster
as you become more proficient.  It may be too strenuous for some.
And, always, always consult your doctor before starting any ...

Anyone know about Pennsaid?15 Oct 2004 00:04 GMT8
A couple of people have mentioned Pennsaid and how effective it is. Does anyone
know about it? I looked it up and it is not approved yet in the U.S. (presently
under review) but other places are using it. It sounds to me like a topical form
of Arava as they both contain the same ...

Finger joint replacement surgery14 Oct 2004 21:51 GMT16
I'm scheduled for PIP joint replacements on my left fourth and fifth
fingers on October 26th, and I'm getting really nervous about it! My
DIP joints on those same fingers are also totally shot, but they aren't
going to replace those -- too much risk for all four joints! -- so they

Alternative to Vioxx14 Oct 2004 15:35 GMT28
Like some other people in this group, I'm upset about Vioxx. I have a
very sensitive gut and can't take the usual NSAIDS at all.
Vioxx was superb: stopped  my pain and absolutely NO GI effects at all.
My GP changed me to Celebrex, but after only 7 days I have gastric pain
