Diana, forgot to mention that after I got home from the TKR, my insurance
paid for a Home Health nurse to check on me every day.  She would monitor
all my vital signs, check for fever or infection, and she took my staples
out when ready (74 in all! :-)  My surgeon was 90 minutes ...

Hi all.  The lady I got to take my job could use your prayers and good
thoughts for her young son Martin who is scheduled for surgery on
Monday. They will be going in on Sunday to I am guessing it is to be

Thank you all for your support when I was whining last week.  I spent some
quality time taking extra pain meds and taking extra naps with my cat.  Then
I started back with the put one foot in front of the other and try to keep
heading the right direction that is life.

Charlie just had another follow-up appointment for his broken heel.  Seems
the heel is OK.  Where I thought it looked like it was more swollen in just
the bone still growing from healing.
The other knee is his biggest problem.  (He never did learn to use crutches

I had my infusion of Remicade today and now I am so much in pain from the
waist down. I mean hurting very badly in my legs. When I finished my
infusion it left me very very tired and wiped out feeling. Has anyone felt
this way? I have had this in the past after the Remicade but not ...

how much better I feel with pred on board. In the past year or two I
have been put on high dose pred for the foot thingy I get. Initially
(the first few times) I was told to take it for ten days and then
stop. After that I started a fairly rapid taper,  so it wasn't on

Hey everyone.  It has been 4 days since my first MTX injection.  I had a
mild case of diahrea last night and got up to pee about half a dozen times.  
Forgive me if this is inappropirate language for the group but I wuould
like to know if this sounds like it could be from the MTX? ...

I am on a pred reduction plan and have come down from 33mg to 19mg very
slowly...now redcing 1mg every Sunday till I see my RD when I reach
10mg.
I am really beginning to hurt now...lots of pain.  The dr told me it
