I'm back from the TKR28 Jun 2004 18:26 GMT25
OK, I'm home. Been home for about a week...but this is the first time I"ve
been able to focus long enough on anything to type.
There is, of course, good news and bad news.
The GOOD news is, (and far outshadows the bad, but I'm going to whine
OTP, surge suppressors...28 Jun 2004 14:38 GMT2
Just a reminder (during thunderstorm season) make sure that you
have a GOOD surge suppressor on all electric/communications
wiring coming into your house from outside. This includes your
cable TV.
OTP    True story      German saddle soap28 Jun 2004 14:20 GMT4
This person put this story in the Houston Chronicle.   Every summer
this guy would get a rash on his chest that drove him nuts and would not go
away until the fall of the year.   He was talking to this other fellow on a
flight to somewhere who said,,, Oh yeah, I know about that ...

I saw your post in another thread.
I am glad to hear from you. It has been awhile.
I hope things go well for you in your retirement.
I also hope that your neck and disk/nerve impingement problems are over. I
We're Back28 Jun 2004 05:59 GMT9
Our flight was very late and we didn't get home until 1:00 this morning, but
we're back.  The funeral went well, as did the time spent going through all
of Wendy's Mom's things.
Arthur is behaving, but my sleep problems continue.  I have a study tonight.
Inquiry letter: what would you say?28 Jun 2004 05:52 GMT5
Ok, it's looking promising for us getting htis job and moving up north
probably at the beginning of September.  I've been further researching RDs up
there and discovered one of them does see patients at clinics only about 40
miles from where we'll be. Beats the heck out of 90-100 ...

I have been extremely busy so I have been unable to post very much.
Just returned from a memorial service for a dear friend, and tomorrow
my boss is leaving (we are close).  So not much time to post.
My friend was Lynn true salt of the earth, he would be the first
Anyone else have this Cox-2 side effect?27 Jun 2004 21:38 GMT4
I was prescribed Vioxx, and then Bextra, for a flare-up in my neck/shoulder
last month.  With both drugs, the inside of my mouth got really raw, which
resolved a couple of days after discontinuation.  Has anyone else had this?
If so, have you found another Cox-2 inhibitor that ...

We received the cards and very much appreciated them.
Melinda, you always know what to say.  Thank you.
And Squirrely Jo, thanks for remembering my birthday.  I had even forgotten
it was near with everything that's been going on.

bextra and mtx27 Jun 2004 14:04 GMT5
I would like to know how many people take the mtx and still take their anti
inflammatory. The pharmist said that I should stop taking it for an while
while I start mtx, I asked the doctor and the nurse called me back and said
it doesn't matter.  Just wondering guess it can increase ...
OTP, dog story27 Jun 2004 13:26 GMT5
A week ago, I had a horrendous throat infection. I tested negative for
strep, but the effects were very similar, and I spent a week in bed.
Tuesday was the worst of my sick days. I lay in bed, alternately under
100 lbs of blankets and sprawled on top, shivering and sweating. Sweet
Allowances.........27 Jun 2004 12:30 GMT5
Anyone know if you can get disability living allowances or whatever for
arthritis? Being self employed , this has taken me down the earnings list of
what I used to make by about 25%. Just knowing if it is possible to get
something to help would be a great step forward because I cant ...
