My doc wants me to go on Enbrel. What's the average length of time it takes to
get approval from the insurance company for Enbrel? And is any insurance
company "worse" than another when it comes to jumping through the hoops to get

I have DJDD and RA.  I started off with JRA and I'm 63 now and every
joint in my body is messed up.  I've had shoulder replacement, spinal
fusions, another in lumbar scheduled for when I'm up to it and same with

Its been just over a year since I started Enbrel, and I had my 3rd
assessment today.  (I had one at 3 months, one at 6 and another at 12).
My ESR when I started on the Enbrel was 41, next visit it was 30, next 15
and today it is down to 6.  I feel better than I have in a few years ...

 Hi!!   I have rheumatoid arthritis and osteogenesis imperfecta, a
hereditary brittle bone disorder. I was told I had RA in Oct.of 2002. My
RA doctor put me on fosamax last month. I would like to know if anybody
