joint replacement and colonoscopy31 May 2004 14:36 GMT16
Has anyone with joint replacements had a colonoscopy and did they need to
take the antibiotics before it.  I am somewhat perturbed because the surgeon
that I consulted says that I don't need the antibiotics before it.  I said
that I had a card from my orthopedic surgeon that said I ...
TKR class31 May 2004 14:01 GMT21
I'm going to have a TKR on my knee on June 16th. I have Kaiser, and they
have an entire system of preparation for this adventure; once you are
plugged into it, you are pretty much just along for the ride.
But sometimes the ride can have some lighter moments;
OT: Advice needed on Tooth Extraction31 May 2004 13:50 GMT1
Tonight when I was doing my mouth rinses the packing in the socket came out.
Now there is just a webbing of stitches at the top and a cavity with
something whitish in it. I'm thinking it's the bone graft material he put in
there but is it going to all come out now? Each morning when ...

Saw Neuro and RD -Update & Question31 May 2004 05:03 GMT5
I saw my neuro last Thursday and she did an occipital nerve block there in
the office.  It wore off in about 6 hours.  She also ordered an EMG of my
ankles to rule out tarsal tunnel syndrome (like there's any doubt!).
I had a more productive visit with my RD this morning.  She put ...
Rhematoid factor test31 May 2004 04:51 GMT6
Ok I am confused. Can you be positive for RA and then on another test a year
later its negative? Does that mean you still have RA?
I have ALL the symptoms and I am on Remicade. Doc thinks I still have it,
but I am wondering ???
OTP: Missing a bit31 May 2004 04:50 GMT6
My mother is in town until Wednesday so I have been missing. She is
napping at the moment so I snuck in here to read ASA.  This afternoon, I

huh, what,......   Only the baby sister is the one with the hearing ...
OTP - Major Prayers Needed31 May 2004 04:46 GMT34
Well, I have gone from bad to scary. I can't tell a whole lot of people
how bad things are here, so I'm going to vent and request MAJOR prayers.
I have come to the conclusion that once you are over 50 and have bookoo
qualifications and experience, no one wants to hire you.  I have ...
Reporting in, and saying Hi31 May 2004 04:44 GMT2
Hi all!  I'm baaaack.......
Seriously, I've been away, because I just haven't been able to sit very
long at my computer, for a number of reasons.  I'm too tired after work,
spending most of my days on the computer there; my back is very sore,
shrink visit and nerve block fun31 May 2004 04:43 GMT2
Visit with psych yesterday result in increasing the lexapro dosage to
20mg/day and we will see where it takes us. He didn't think loss of appetite
was a side effect of the drug, but the pharmacy sheet lists it second as a
side effect. I am off all pain meds now including neurontin. ...

Mother had her tkr31 May 2004 00:42 GMT25
My mother had her other tkr yesterday, I have simply been too busy to
