Long time reader but have been off line for quite awhile.  I have a problem and
don't know if it is a sign of times or what.  To summarize briefly, I have RA
and have been on same meds for two years including Methotrexate, diuretics,
muscle relaxers, lortabs, and duragesic patch.  ...

Boy, I'm having alot of these crack, snap, and poppin' going on.  It
seems like every joint I have it doing this.  I have OA, gout, and
inflammatory arthritis (doc is thinking RA)  Went on predinsone, Mtx,
and now the ACTH inj.  I was trying to taper off the predinsone (ACTH)

I am taking 600mg/day of Plaquenil, and 20mg of Bextra for RA.  My Dr.
increased the Plaq to 600 last month and it has done wonders with decreasing
the pain.  I have had a problem with itching since I started on the Plaq.

I 7 days ago I started taking 20mg of Bextra each morning to help with
some severe joint pain that I have been experiencing over the past 3
weeks.  When I filled the prescription, the pharmacist told me that it
would take a 4-5 days for the medication to begin to work.  I am still

Well, to day was the 2nd trx on the subq hyperbaric O2 threapy...it is
not a hard thing to do, but 90 minutes not being able to pee is at times
a problem.LOL  The nurse who came to show me the procedure was a
sweetie, and compassionate, so that was a good thing.  I have to do

Arrrggghhh.  The elliptical walker has my knees so weak I can barely walk.
It hurts one foot above and one foot below my knees.  What a bad girl I was
all winter to not keep myself in shape.  I am paying now. (PT is for
spondolythesis and fibromyalgia).

how do you know if your red, itchy eyes are due to pollen or one of the eye
things that accompany RA? i don't usually get red, itchy eyes, but i've got
them now, timed perfectly to the pollen. can i just assume that's it?

Did anyone see the cover story in Newsweek/Time regarding the
imflammation connection to so many different conditions, including
arthritis?
