Dear Group,
My 83 year old Mother has been showing signs of Alzheimer's for the past
couple of years.  Mainly memory loss and not being able to recognize a
situation.  Just recently she has started hallucinating and seeing another

They were both so happy to see each other....lots of hugs and kisses.
They said granddad was doing very well, always eats his food and asks for
more...at night he asks can he buy some sandwiches....he has always ...

My mother is 95, late middle-stage Alz.  For 6 years, she has had some
urinary leakage - not a lot but enough to cause a definite odor.  She
doesn't wear underwear, doesn't ever put her clothes in the dirty
laundry and doesn't always take a shower.   I have to sneak into her

I was suposed to see my granddad today, but instead woke to find someone had
smashed the side window on my car trying to break, ok the dead locks etc
stopped them, but meant i had to spend all day trying to borrow some cash to
get a replacement, done that and hope to get it fitted ...

MY MOTHER IS 93 AND LIVING IN ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY IN NY FOR THE
PAST 4 YRS.. SHE IS REFUSING TO TAKE HER MEDS, PUT ON HER BED CLOTHES
AT NIGHT AND IS BECOMING VERY HARD TO DEAL WITH. SHE IS RUDE AND NASTY
TO THE STAFF. I HAVE AIDES FROM 10 AM - 7PM BUT CAN NOT AFFORD A NIGHT

My mom has just been " worked up" by a geriatric psychiatrist, and he has
recommended Namenda over other drug treatments.
WE  ( daughters ) are willing to follow his advice, but are just wondering
if there are others out there who have anectodal experience.
