My mother (76) was diagnosed with AD 5 years ago, and has been on Aricept since then. My Dad (80) still manages at home with her, she goes to respite care 2 days a week. I believe she has got worse, and as we have to pay for Aricept (around NZ$260 a month) I wonder if she should ...

I read here daily but havent posted a lot since we moved Mum to the
hospital close to us.The rest of the squamous cell carcinoma was
removed beautifully and cleanly by our Dr and all the remaining cancer
was removed so that is a blessing.

My poor Mom is really having a tough time and it's so hard to see her
so unhappy. Just a year ago my Mom was living independently.  Last
March following a string of events my Mom couldn't be left alone
anymore.  We stayed with her in her house until we were able to move

I am back from my vacation as of last evening.
Too many posts to catch up on, so I am starting anew!
I had a great time visiting my daughter in Texas for the last couple of
