Great Help18 Mar 2006 01:52 GMT3
You all have been a great help to me.  Now I have some decisions to make.
My husband is on Chrestor and Zettia for cholesterol type problems.  He also
takes Klonopin for a REM sleep disorder.
All tests came back normal except his cognitive which led to Razadyne for
New to group17 Mar 2006 04:23 GMT26
I just found this group.  My husband is a brand new AD patient.  He just
completed testing to rule out other possible causes for his symptoms and
ended up with nothing it could possibly be but early AD.  The Dr. put him on
Razadyne and I am hoping it will help.  Can anyone else here ...
Mom thinks she lives somewhere else.17 Mar 2006 04:18 GMT7
My Mom and I are new to this terrible disease. She now lives with me
and sometimes she acts just like she used to. We can carry on a good
conversation and she understands what she needs to do. Then suddenly
everything changes and she mumbles, keeps her eyes closed, cannot walk
OTP - to our gardeners15 Mar 2006 20:54 GMT3
Have a gardening question.
We have a hornets/wasp nest in the soil next to the house/deck, where I

impossible to use the deck as they are a very aggressive variety.
mini mental score15 Mar 2006 15:03 GMT4
I know this topic gets brought up from time to time.  I just found out
my Mom's last score on the MM was 26 and that is within the normal
range, but she seems pretty debiliated to me and I can't imagine her
doing ok left to her own devices.  Now it makes me rethink memory care.

Downs and ups14 Mar 2006 14:44 GMT6
My mother went to the ER on Friday.  Her memory care called us to say
she was not acting as usual, didn't want to get out of bed, had no
language and was unable to follow even simple directions.  ER diagnosed
a stroke, even though it didn't show up on the CT scan, after testing
Mom Update11 Mar 2006 18:12 GMT6
I had a nice chat with the nurse and the owner of the assisted living
apartment where my mother is living.   A while back I posted that Mom was
gaining weight and the consensus here was to not bring extra food especially
cookies to her.   I stopped bringing them and she has not ...

I've mentioned in other posts that my father has vascular dementia as a
result of several TIA's.  We suspect that there have been quite a few that
he has not reported to us.  His increasingly standard response to topics of
conversation that he cannot get his mind to grasp is what my ...
