On Friday just gone 16th,
I sacked my mothers doctor that she has been under at the nursing home
after he spent a considerable amount of time trying to cover his a- -e
in regards to The Squamous cell carcinoma on Mums scalp.

Can anyone help me with a question ?--If and when one becomes medicaid
eligible does the spouse lose control over meds etc.  Do they become (in
essence) just a visitor.?

Alzheimer sufferer lives alone relying on neighbours, nearest 1/2 mile away.
Used to have problems with anything technical before she was ill but now
requires a new TV and some form of recording equipment plus digital radio
and CD player. Money isn't the problem but getting none ...

Yesterday at Lowes,I got what I needed to redo my bedroom closet. Posted
this just a bit ago in another group.
Finally got started on redoing my bedroom closet today. More work than I
thought just to put a bit of sheetrock in! :-) First had to do a little

My Dad has asked me to take my mom shopping . (eek!) It took her two
hours to get dressed on Saturday. I was thinking that she needs just a
few clothes and less choices. Any advice on chothes and shopping would
be appreciated.

As care-giver for my alz mother, I am of course frazzled.  I am having
marital problems that relate to the alz only in indirect ways.  They
existed prior to the alz but are harder to deal with now.  My wife
embarrasses me to the point of social paralysis.  I am living

Can anyone here tell me if the pills of the Alzheimer Meds Aricept,
Exelon and Reminyl at higher doses are divisible  (scissile? What does
one say in english?). I ask, because they cost almost the same at
higher doses as at the minimum dosis.

I found out today that the Dr my Mum is under in the care facility here
discontinued her Aricept back in July.
I posted awhile back re him playing around with Mums Risperdal reduced
it and then increased it again.

My father is 78 years old and since 1998 he is been suffering from Alzheimer
desease, that started up in a kind of "mild" way.
Between 1998 and 2001 the doctor prescribed to him Aricept (donepezil) that
was provided free of charge from the italian state medical assistance.
