I have had a penpal in Texas for several years.
I thought he was pretty level headed.
His 82 year old Mother was living on her own and he had always spoken of her
as being very independent and strong willed.

Everything went fine picking up Mom at the airport.   My brother escorted
her to the gate and found a lady traveling to our town here in Indiana to
ride in seat next to her.  It's good that my brother is so personable.   It
helps when things like this come up.
