A visiting nurse asks a patient to remember three words at the beginning of

the patient at the end of visit what the three words were.  The visit lasts

Thank you all10 Sep 2005 04:45 GMT3
I realize most of my posts have been long. Reading all the posts has
brought back tons of memories.  The past three days since I left work,
I've been trying to figure out what I'm going to do now after I take a
little mini destress vacation. I desperately needed a break, but this

Saturday I took my husband to the ER up on the mtn. He was in a panic at 6
in the morning and was going to walk down the mountain to our apt. The ER up
there wasn't busy and took time with him. Ran some tests and a cat scan. The
doctor sat down and talked with John for 20 minutes ...

My son is getting married in two weeks, and so everybody is scurring around
getting things ready for the big day, the houseguests, the clothing, the
travelling, etc.
So yesterday I got my favorite beautician (an hour away back in my OLD
Update08 Sep 2005 15:33 GMT7
My first post here was on the 20th.  I mentioned an appointment to get a
Power of Attorney to access my mother's CD's in case she needs to go to
an Assisted Living facility or Nursing home later. She told the attorney
she didn't know why she was there and that I was a neighbor, a ...
Why'd I Bother08 Sep 2005 04:45 GMT1
Just an update to all of a happening a few months ago.
I told my father that one day he was going to upset me so that I would
storm out of the house and never come back. Well the day came. I got in

Glad Mom had a good appetite this morning. Bugs me a lot sometimes when
I can't even get her to drink a glass of milk; but this morning was
different! For her breakfast;4 smoked quail eggs,2 slices of buttered
toast with sorgum syrup,3 glasses of milk and a 1/2 glass of water!
Nausea07 Sep 2005 13:27 GMT14
I'm getting tired of the daily grind of experiencing nausea  all day every day
as a result of Aricept and, now, Reminyl.
Does anybody know of an antidote or something to lessen the symptoms?

Char,
I know you haven't been able to post as much in the past year. But I recall

Just plain angry06 Sep 2005 14:46 GMT18
My mom is 55 and was diagnosed with early onset of AD in January.  And
I'm losing it!!  I'm 23 and for the most part everything has fallen on
my shoulders.  Or at least it feels that way.  I've got an older
sister, but she's incredibly unreliable.  I find myself being angry
Probably a silly question ..05 Sep 2005 17:57 GMT2
.. but could someone please tell me if Level 2 is the same as Stage 2
Alzheimer's?  I have been told my friend in Canada has Level 2 and I would
like to know what that means in relation to day to day living.
I have googled but only found references to 'staging'.
Can They do That?05 Sep 2005 10:41 GMT6
>>> well it has happened. The powers that be ---the two people who do not take care of Mom and her doctor have decided that I need a break and Mom has been put into a nursing home for respite care. Do you think that either one of the other siblings would have voluntered to take ...
Stupid Me Is Back, Doh!05 Sep 2005 07:39 GMT5
Maureen (aka Mo) is back and wishing everyone the best. Ever since AOL
dropped it's newsgroups I accepted that there was no more A.S.A. Boy do
I feel dumb. It just dawned on me to look this place up on google and
see what comes up. My gosh how good it feels to be back.
