After thinking I could not survive my mother's move to assisted living,
especially because I'm not crazy about the facility, I am absolutely
surprised at how well she has adjusted.  She is starting to make some
aquaintences, goes to exercise every day, we've hired a walking partner

anyone had any experience with the use of Ativan re: managing agitation and
just plain old obnoxious behaviour?
my MIL's doctor prescribed it for use "as necessary" ... just used it for
the first time .... on her, not me, though which of us needs it more at this

I got my first ripe tomatoes of the year last Friday or Saturday-off of
the two plants I have in the yard,in a little 4x4 foot planter bed. :-)
I've not been caring for them much,doing otherthings;but decided I
better care for them better now. So got them watered and mulched good

guess he didn't ~get~ it .... this morning, hubby managed to break the
camel's back ... criticized my care of his mother  (in front of company, no

My mother who is 83 has been diagnosed with early Alzheimer's.  I am now
living with her as she has had a series of physical problems.  She has just
begun taking Aricept.  The doctor has been vague about providing details.
What is the average progression of the disease?

your loved one has these types of problems, you may wish to consider
assisted living?"
All I find are lists of things that must be ABLE to do for AL, not what gaps

busy. Mom's been pretty good. In fact a little too good in some ways :-)
as she's up and around the house a lot this evening and I was hoping she

I have opened a discussion group for bipolar disorder and related mental
health issues...hope yall dont mind me posting this in here  but i feel
it is important as there are NO bipolar support groups for webtvers on
this subject...BTW I am fine hope yall are too...LOVE B
