Has anyone noticed that there loved ones appears to have no perrifeal(sp) vision?My mom seems to see only what she is looking directly at.Something can be 2 inches above it and she will not see it.Barb

Given the responses it kicked off last year here in the newsgroups, I would like to annually address the biomechanical effects of shoes on human degenerative diseases. Most people still think the idea stinks. Yet it seems to me that shoes on the feet are like germs on the hands.

On January 4th, my Dad was admitted to a hospital. When he called me to take him to the hospital, saying he could hardly breathe, I called my sister to let her know, and she said it was probably just Dad's panic/anxiety attacks again.

I've been on 5mg of Aricept for some months (3-4). I, briefly, increased to 10mg but, after two days, found the side-effects to invasive and went back to the earlier dose (subsequent to discussing it with my Neurologist). Now, even at the lower dose, I'm tempted to drop it ...

I need help keeping my mother with Alzheimers from trying to get up and try to walk as she is so frail she'll fall down. She can no longer use a walker so I move her around with a wheelchair but she keeps trying to get up. I can't get anything done because I can't leave her alone ...
