I just watched "60 minutes" tonight and they told of people who were falsely
diagnosed with alzheimers or with parkinsons who turned out to really have
NPH (Normal pressure hydrocephalus).

mentioned she had a card from a nurse.  I was like okay what nurse???
Finally I get out of her that senior services made a surprise visit over
a week ago and I never knew it.

My mother will be going to a nursing home eventually because of her
alz, which is currently in the middle stages.  She has LTC insurance
with Met Life.  She doesnt qualify for benefits using the ADL criteria
(activities of daily living).  She still can dress and feed herself,

Got the call from the Dr. this morning and it is definitely pancreatic
cancer.  Meeting on Wed. to discuss palliative treatment/Hospice etc.   The
stent is in place and she is already starting to lose the jaundiced color.
