system (AIDS) will eventually fall under the stress. The age of

Dad, sadly is gone now.  The staff of his dementia unit were absolutely
wonderful to him.  I had a problem getting him placed initially  because my
mother didn't want to pay.  When he finally was placed, the RN unit told me the
NH had considered getting a court ordered placement to ...

I'm posting to Alzheimers because I personaly would try collodial

I haven't posted about my specific situation in a while. To recap: our
concern has been my mom, who although only 66 has had some ...

I cannot tell you how much it meant to me to read all your replies.   I know
I have got to do this, and it isn't easy, but it is for the best and I may
finally get my life back in the end.   I certainly don't mind coming to
visit Ida regularly, knowing someone else is taking care of ...
Could it be AD?03 Apr 2004 01:50 GMT21
My sisters and I are concerned that my mother has AD. Although she has
not yet been assessed, we have concerns not so much about memory
impairment, but about paranoia and confusion. For example, she
believes that my oldest sister is stealing money and other posessions
Caregiver for Mom, wondering03 Apr 2004 01:37 GMT16
I was here quite a while back, when I first began staying at home with my
Mom, who is 90, with dementia "probably" alzheimers.  I have been with her
here at home since early 2000 I think, maybe 1999.  Anyway, she was unable
to fix herself lunch or drive her car any more when I ...
Lewy Body Dementia02 Apr 2004 23:15 GMT22
My dad has been having problems for about a year now, starting when he had a
pacemaker put in and his docs changed his heart medication and such. Some
medications made him flip out, want to leave his wife, etc. I thought it was
a result of all the drugs being fiddled with and the ...

getting unusually forgetful.  She said they will have conversations
and then he will ask a few moments later about the thing they just
talked about, he does tend to repeat himself, talk loud and do
