"HIV Positive" claims that he does not have AIDS because of where he
lives. I can find no evidence to support this contention that the UK
(?) does not use the CDC/WHO definition of AIDS.
Is there any such evidence?

Can have an impact on CD4 count--and cause a modest depression among
HIV-negative TB-infected individuals:

Happens among HIV-negative people. But only with concomitant very
serious disease. And there are some more hopeful differences for HIV+
people in terms of potential to survive PCP.
