At our age, when everybody has presbyopia, -0.75 or -1.00 are about the best compromise possible, as close as you get to "not needing glasses."

I am told that this means I am not suitable for Lasik surgery. Thing is , I really don't like to wear glasses - I don't even wear sunglasses and I live in a very sunny climate. What options are available to me apart from just accepting slight diff in reading small print and seeing distance objects more clearly. I certainly can live with my reduced vision but would consider perhaps contact lenses or some type of procedure to correct my vision
