Do they allow hard contacts?

I do not understand the reasons for not allowing soft contacts.

I ask this because i have to prepare myself if some punk comes up to me on
the street and i have to defend ymself with contacts in my eyes.

No. World Boxing Assoc rule for professionals. The International Amateur Boxing Association does allow them (soft), but very bad
idea for the obvious reasons.
