This procedure is usually called the Trans Urethral Microwave Thermotherapy (TUMT) and is done by devices called Prostatron, Targis, TherMatrix, Prolieve, and other names. There is a lot of information available on all these systems on the internet. I had a Prostatron 2.5 Jul 2. Would be happy to share my experience if you are interested. chockman@canby.com

I just saw this ad in a local paper stating:
"A real solution is now available for enlarged prostate using a breakthrough treatment call Cooled ThermoTherapy(tm). Cooled ThermoTherapy shrinks enlarged prostate tissue, while protecting the surrounding healthy tissue and organs. Cooled ThermoTherapy is an effective, single, not-surgical procedure that can be performed in the comfort of an urologist's office or outpatient hospital setting. Cooled ThermoTherapy is FDA-approved and has been used for over 7 years to treat more than 80,000 men worldwide. Unlike medications, that must be taken year after year with varying success rates and costs, Cooled ThermoTherapy is designed to solve the problem of enlarged prostate. Cooled ThermoTherapy can also eliminate the need for more invasive prostate surgery."
I've never heard of this before, does anyone have any experience with this procedure, or any other info?
