The term "Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy" is really a misnomer. Sure it implies
non malignancy, but  "benign" also implies that this condition is harmless
and cannot cause any permanent damage.

Maybe it should be renamed, but to what?  How about SPH, Serious Prostatic
Hypertrophy.
