Hmm, maybe that is what my first URO meant when in answer to my question if their group did laser treatments said, "It is the same as TURP". That is when I went looking for a URO who does PVP.
I would even disagree with him saying that Holmium is the same as TURP.

A few weeks ago I posted a question re PVP vs other laser treatments for BPH. At the time I couldn't remember exactly which laser system my uro uses (I live in a rural area; the nearest uros who do PVP live hundreds of miles away). With all the positive feedback here from those who've had a PVP procedure, I'm sold. However, I'd like to know if anyone has any feedback, negative or positive on the Holmium laser system as it applies to BPH. My doc reiterated to me that the end result will be as good as a green light PVP but of course he hasn't done any PVPs.
