Re: 2 DAYS POST PVP

Definitely let your uro know. I had a low grade fever for a week following pvp and my uro extended my course of antibiotics, which in my case was Keflex because I am allergic to Cipro, the drug of choice.
Unlike some lucky bastards who have had pvp and immediately resumed normal activity, I felt lousy for quite a long time with continued poor flow as well. My nocturia was worse than before pvp, getting worse over the first two months before getting better.
Three months later all is well and as of the past week the urgency factor has almost gone. My uro told me that he felt pvp caused more irritation to the prostate than other procedures, possibly the laser wavelength giving the prostate a bad case of sunburn. He also mentioned 50% of his patients took 3- 4 months to see results and the other 50% saw immediate improvement.
