Hi Nicole, I am with you on this one 100%+++ 3 years after I was diagnosed I became a vegetarian and then later I cut out all animal products completely. I have always had he more severe form of lupus (started with all organs 28 years or so ago) I am sure it has helped keep me alive. But gradually the ethical aspect became more and more important to me and now I would not harm a sentient being knowingly. Neither will I pay the meat/dairy industry to do it for me. As well as vetetarian I am very careful about how much sodium I consume and avoid processed food.
