Hi everyone,
My hair has been thinning pretty bad as of late. (Past few months) I'm
not
really sure where the thinning is coming from. When tx started it
triggered a serious case of psoriasis This includes my scalp. I'm not
100% sure P causes hair thinning or not.
Did - or does - anyone else have thinning hair due to tx? Did it come
back
in?
Yeah Puck...hair loss seems to be the norm. Use a very gentle shampoo
and conditioner...maybe even get one of those leave in conditioners.
Only wash your hair when you absolutely have to. Sprits it daily with
the leave in conditioner to freshen or get rid of serious bed head. The
eyebrow hairs sticking straight out really had me going for a while
there.I am now 3 months post tx and the hair situation is getting
better.

Oh, poor Toe, you're obsessing again :-(
Shampoo/wash your head/hair as frequently as you wish-- many toxins are
released through the skin (scalp is skin) when you're on tx, and when
your liver isn't up to par. This can cause itching, and washing away the
residue will relieve this.
Shave your head, it will grow back thicker than ever after tx. Many
women think that guys with shaved heads are uber-sexy.

Someone once told me that if you mix up a bunch of sour cream, olive
oil, garlic and chives, and rub it into your scalp real good leaving it
in overnight with a showercap on, PT, that your hair will come out nice
and soft the next morning.  On top of that, if you get hungry in the
middle of the night, you can dip your chips on your head.
