Generally, I've seen some retained resin rather than fractured enamel. Any residual resin can be removed. If the enamel is cracked off, it is gone. What to do depends upon the amount of lost enamel. If it is small and there is no dentine exposed, you're best off just polishing it and leaving it unrstored. This general rule might be modified depending on where the chipped enamel is, whether it is a cosmetic problem, other restorations on the tooth, etc.

Hi, i was wondering if there was anyone else that has had braces and heir dentist told them that when he took the braces off, that their tooth enamel came off with them? If anyone has any info on how to get it back it would be greatly appreciated!!
