There really shouldn't need to be any special oral hygiene practices needed for a crown. What I'm reading here is that there is a cosmetic concern should the gumline recede. But this should be minimal if your oral hygiene technique is good. If you have doubts, have your dentist or hygienist demonstrate for you.
