teeth extraction
| scared | 27 Sep 2006 15:44 |
Just backed out of an extraction of a tooth from the bottom left hand side of my mouth (near the middle)
The reason i backed out was i was so scared, the dentist injected the drugs, waited for every thing to go numb then as he was pushing on the tooth i started to panic and asked for a rest, on the second attempt i backed out nearly immediately.
I have an abscess under the tooth which created pain every time i put any pressure on the tooth, so i have been eating on the other side of my mouth
I also take sodium phenytoin, and need to eat regularly every 6 hours to keep my blood sugar level.
The dentist is recommending I consider IV sedaion.
Is this possible with my tablets and also the fact that I need to eat regularly
How can I clear the abscess under the tooth and, if I manage to clear the abscess will the pain be less if I try the extraction again.
Thanks
