Hi Mary.

Glad to hear you are both thriving, and making use of available hand-holds.

No my daughter isn't at university just yet, don't rush things, she's 15
now, does GCSE this year.  Always wants to look older and more mature.
Won't be so long before she's trying to look younger though.

Not many people left around here now, so many ISPs have stopped doing
Usenet.

Hello everyone - that is everyone who remembers me!

I'm still around, haler and heartier than I expected to be on
attaining my biblical span. Spouse is too, very few residual effects
of his prostate cancer (what there are can be dealt with easily) and
we're enjoying life.

Last year we went on an Arctic cruise. For the event I went to the
local expensive bra shop and bought a couple of posh and beautiful
numbers. The lady there pushed and pulled, prodded and smoothed and
poured me into underwired scraps of lace which gave me a lovely
outline - I can't praise them (or her) enough. I loved them so much
that I recently bought three more for our next (and last) cruise to
Greenland. So what if my lumpectomy scar shows? If someone doesn't
like it they needn't look! By now, eleven years later, it's just a
silver line anyway, over a depression which Spouse calls his 'thumb
hole'.

It seems to be impossible to get news groups with my present pc set-up
so I found this by going through Google groups, it's not ideal because
there's a lot of unpleasantness there which isn't filtered. But what
on Earth is this Harrogate thread about? I live fifteen miles from
Harrogate, have known it all my life and it's no different from any
other spa/conference town. I do wonder what people expect.

So, who is still around? How is everyone? I was thinking about Tim's
daughter the other day and realised that she'll probably be at
university now, it would be good to hear about my old friends. I might
not remember to look in here soon though ... forgetting is getting
worse. Or better ... depending on your interpretation :-)

Have to go and finish a beautiful silk blouse I'm making for the
holiday, it's infuriatingly slipping, sliding and fraying everywhere
but I'm determined to finish it!

Hugs to all,

Mary Fisher
