What I don't understand is that if HIV isn't a 'gay disease,' why it is gay rights groups lobbying for repeal of the HIV travel ban, and praising the decision to allow known HIV carriers into the country. It is already risky enough to engage in gay sex without adding even more HIV patients to the pool of potential sex partners.
I know several HIV+ gay Americans, and when they travel domestically it seems they ALWAYS wind up at a gay bar. They went to Hawaii - the big island with the rain forest and the active volcano with the spectacular pools and rivers of hot lava - and they spent the entire two weeks with their anal-warted a.ses parked at a goddamn gay bar. They came to visit me in San Francisco, and couldn't be bothered to see the sights because they had to spend the entire week at the goddamn gay bar (except for a trip to a bathhouse in Berkeley).
They even refused to take the lovely antique trolley ride to Castro Street, because the subway was the fastest way to get their anal warts to the goddamn gay bar. They also insisted at eating at McDonald's - in a city with thousands of excellent restaurants - to save their money for partying at the goddamn gay bar.
What baffles me is how people who are literally living on borrowed time do not want to do anything except spend the rest of their shortened lives at the goddamn gay bar, which is exactly what they did before catching HIV, and really is the reason they caught it to begin with. Now they want to travel the world freely, to see as many gay bars and f.ck as many strangers as possible before succumbing to the virus.

Have HIV, will travel.
The US is set to finally throw open its borders to HIVers, and allow people like me to visit to give our special gift.

A law signed under the Bush administration to lift a ban on HIV-positive visitors from entering the United States, got the go-ahead this week from the Obama administration.
President George W. Bush signed the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief in July 2008. Part of the legislation was to remove the ban from statute and leave it up to the Department of Health and Human Services to decide whether HIV should stay on a list of communicable diseases that prohibit foreign nationals from entering the country.
Obama's Office of Management and Budget completed a review of the law this week, which allows it to become effective once it is published in the Federal Register for a 45-day comment period.
The Human Rights Campaign, a U.S. lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights group, praised the decision in a statement.

Hmmm. As we all know, HIV isn't a gay thing. Which, presumably, is why gay-fag, bi-fag and trans-fag groups are jumping for joy.
Another picnic someone forgot to invite the niggers to?
