Hello,
I post this on the outside chance that someone might see this through
the plethora of spam that seems to plague this group. Anyway, has
anyone seen any of that canned, sterile "aerosol" saline spray
recently? I've occasioned to be in both Florida and California over
the last month and found it nowhere. I've checked Walgreens, Wal-Mart,
CVS, regional chains, etc. and have come up empty-handed. What gives?
Might this be another solution to a non-existent problem foisted on us
by the Enviro-Marxists? <shudder>
TIA

What is this used for? There are plenty of saline sprays for nasal use
in squeeze bottles.

I have also been looking for sterile saline spray for eyes, with no
luck. What happened? Several stores used to carry this spray
(example brand name: Sensitive Eyes), but no longer seem to stock the
product. ( I am also located in Florida.) It was reasonably priced at
$2 to $4.50 per can. The closest thing I can find is on the internet
at $7.99 per can, plus shipping.
To answer the question above regarding it's use: Since I have eyes
that cannot tolerate any preservatives, I would use this spray to
rinse my contacts prior to inserting them in my eyes. It is also
useful to spray it directly into your eyes for the gentle rinsing of
dry eyes or eyes that have any tiny debris particles. Yes, there are
small vials of sterile saline solution, but they are much more
expensive and not as helpful at removing makeup or debris that may get
in your eyes.
Thanks for any help...

I cannot imagine any spray of this nature staying sterile once any seal
is broken. Single use containers would be the way to go.

I've been using WalMart's "Equate" brand of sterile aerosol saline for
years and now I can't find it anymore.
I wonder what's up with that? It was very inexpensive (compared to
the name brand).

By the way, it's not only sterile, but UNPRESERVED as well. So the
likelyhood of eye irritation is greatly lessened.

search this newsgroup--for a post about "non-preserved saline" that I
wrote. It includes a phone number for direct order of the aerosol canned
non-preserved saline.
