No. It's detention for him.
Write out "I must not be stupid" 500 times.
And if he continues to misbehave, we shall have to contact his parents
about the matter. This is simply unacceptable behavior. They will be
notified as to his unruliness, and may thereupon be advised to spank
him several times daily.
