Hey I was watching the LIVE news this morning - well, BBC News 24 has
been going on about it for ages... It was about the Olympics in China.
This fella' was giving a speech (probably some agreement or something
between the chinese and the greeks. I can't understand Chinese so I
didn't know)There were some Tibetan protestors who came into the scene
and it caused it bit of a commotion, and the Greek and Chinese
authorities seemed pretty pissed off about it. Well they were
censoring a lot of the stuff and try and keep things private, so it's
hard for us people in the West to know what they're upto... :S

Anyway, it was a really beautiful ceremony, and they were showing the
part when they were just dancing and doing stuff like that. The women
went around in a circle for a while and after a while they finally
came to the important part - lighting the flame!

Did Anyone see that HUGE convex lens they used? LOL. It was SO cool!
It took a little while to get the thing heated up but then BOOM it
comes up out of nowhere. Let there be light!

For a moment there I thought it wasn't going to work. I kind of felt
sorry for the woman who had to stand there for ages waiting in
suspense. How embarrarsing it would have been if it didn't work! (But
I guess they had a backup flame just in case.)

So anyway, yeah that lens was awesome. Imagine doing Bates Sun
Treatment with that. LMFAO.
