otis has missed the point. i am 63, not a child. i don't want further
surgeries or any other attempt to make the left eye better, as i feel
with the limited vision in the left eye patches, etc would not work. i
am looking to find out what with the strabismus, and the also failing
vision in my right eye, will i go complete blind (to black) in either
the left or the right eye. is there a professional out there who can
give me an idea on this. thanks.

Dear Andy,
Sorry you mis-read my remarks.
In fact I have been in the same "boat" you are in.
As always surgery is a risk. And I agree with
your statement about your left eye.
No one hear can answer your question about going completelyl blind
(to black) in your right eye. We are all under the threat of detached
retina, macular degeneration, R.P., etc.
There is one ophthamologist posting here, Dr. Robinson, and I
think he has the experience and knowledge to respond to
your question to the best of his ability.
Why not post your question to him explicitly?
I am certain he will answer.
Good luck,
